On-Farm
Markets

Buy just picked produce direct from a local farmer on or near the farm where the fruits, vegetables and herbs actually grow. The 2,000+ On-Farm Markets run by local farmers in New Jersey may also offer Jersey Grown plants, baked goods, honey, meats and other value-added products such as jams, sauces and dressings.

Community Farmers Market

These seasonal markets sprout up in every county in NJ as far north as Sussex down to the shore in Cape May at common, recurring locations usually on a weekly basis. Enjoy talking to farmers about the freshest, local produce available while picking up your fruits and vegetables for the week. Spot neighbors and friends at the open-air market and enjoy the sights and smells of market day.

Retail Partners

Whether you shop on the farm or at a local grocery store, you can support local farmers. Find grocery stores near you that source from local, NJ farms.

Wineries

The Garden State offers over 50 wineries for you to enjoy with friends and family all year long. New Jersey ranks 10th in the nation in wine production and Jersey wines consistently continue to succeed in major wine competitions including, in 2017, Double Gold Medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition for Sharrott Winery and at the Great American International Wine Competition for both Plagido’s Winery and Valenzano Winery. Most wineries welcome visitors for tastings, winery tours and special events offering gorgeous views and live entertainment. Cheers!

Pick Your Own Farms

Grab your baskets and get outside. Head to a farm or orchard near you to pick your own Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables. Everything from strawberries, apples and cherries to squash, asparagus and cauliflower can be handpicked by you at a NJ farm. Make sure to call ahead to ensure the produce you’d like to pick is available.

CSA's

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for many to buy local, seasonal food direct from a farmer. Not sure how it works? We’ll explain: A farmer offers a certain number of “shares” to the public in advance of their growing season. Typically, the share consists of a box of produce, but other farm products may be included. Interested consumers purchase a share aka a “membership” or “subscription” and in return receive a box of seasonal produce each week throughout the season.

Restaurants

Farm to Table. Farm to Fork. Farm to Glass. All can be experienced at restaurants throughout the state that pride themselves on preparing delicious meals using local produce, proteins, wines, spirits and drafts.
