Welcome to Iowa Department of Justice Grants

Iowa Department of Justice Grants is the grants management system applicants use to apply for and manage grants from the Iowa Department of Justice. This includes victim services grants, and opioid settlement grants.

Organizations new to grants management system must register their organization by going to the New User Register Here! link under the Login panel on the right side of the home screen. The initial registration for your organization must be completed by a person authorized to register your organization. After that, the authorized official can add other people.

To register your organization, you will be required to provide:

   • Personal information - provide your work address, phone, email, etc. 
   • Organizational information 
   • Details about your organization 
   • Financial information, such the most recent audit and an organizational budget

Anyone doing grant related business in the system must have their own profiles and logons.

Individuals not associated with an organization should not register as a new user.

Announcements

GRANT OPPORTUNITIES - When grant opportunities are released they will be posted in the My Opportunities panel on your home page. Organizations that are new to the grants management system must first register their organization in the grants management system by clicking on the New User? Register Here! link under the Login panel on the right side of the home screen. Initial registration must be completed by the person who is authorized to register your organization.

The Opioid Settlement grant is now available. Details can be found by clicking on Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). After registration, the authorized official may add additional users to the system. Step-by-step guidance on registering is available: New User Instructions.

The Victim Services grant will be available on March 16, 2026. Details are now available at Victim Services Section Funding Opportunities including the Notice for Funding Opportunity (NOFO), recording of victim services instructional webinar and the application deadlines.

We anticipate releasing criminal justice grants, and training & technical assistance grants on April 15, 2026.  Details will be available at Victim Services Section Funding Opportunities including the Notice for Funding Opportunity (NOFOs), webinar information and the application deadlines.

 

CURRENT GRANT REPORTING:

Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) quarterly reporting - OVC PMT reports are to be completed in the OVC PMT system. The due dates are January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31. 

Family Violence Prevention & Services Act (FVPSA) annual report - Due November 15th - submitted in the grants management system.

Biannual reports - due May 15th and November 15th - submitted in the grants management system

STOP Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) annual reports – due Feb 15th via the MEI and Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) web-based reporting tool. 

Sexual Abuse Services Program (SASP) annual reports - Feb 15th via the MEI and Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) web-based reporting tool.
